Following Cimrman to the Three Does
Just a stone’s throw across the valley from the peaceful pastures of the three does at Three Does Cottage, the 60th anniversary of the Jára Cimrman Theatre will be celebrated on the last weekend of September.
As devoted fans have long known, the final trace of Jára Cimrman — the versatile Czech genius, writer and educator who narrowly missed being voted the Greatest Czech — leads to the Jizera Mountain town of Tanvald, just below our hill. His legacy is commemorated not only by the tiny Na Mlatě Museum, but also by the Jára Cimrman Museum in nearby Příchovice: https://ucapa.eu/cimrman/
